gaze

Our work on gaze consists of a series of digital impressions, sculptures, performances and videos. We use an eye-tracker that allows us to determine precisely in space and time the trajectories of our eyes.  In this way, our work materializes human gaze as if the eyes would erode, or touch, or cut what they are looking. This makes visible our sequence of eye-movements, which dictate how we see the world, and yet are so opaque to introspection. These works are not portraits of what is being seen, but about the one who is seeing.
